KANAGAWA (TR) – Kanagawa Prefectural Police on Wednesday busted an orgy club that hosted events in Tokyo hotels on charges of prostitution, reports the Sankei Shimbun (March 18).

At approximately 3:00 p.m., officers from the Kohoku Police Station raided a hotel room in Shinjuku Ward and arrested Masaki Toriumi, 58, the manager of club Tanpopo.

At the time of the bust, a female prostitute in her 30s was entertaining four male customers.

According to prefectural police, the suspect has hosted the events approximately five times each month since last September.

The male participants, who paid 10,000 yen for each session, were recruited through messages deai-kei matchmaking sites that sought “adults” for parties.

“I did it to make cash on the side,” said Toriumi, who is a part-time lecturer at a trade school, according to the Kanagawa Shimbun (March 18).

The matter came to light during routine work conducted by a cyber division of the prefectural police.
