FUKUOKA (TR) – Fukuoka Prefectural Police on Tuesday arrested the manager of a sex club with ties to organized crime for introducing male customers to female prostitutes in Kitakyushu, reports the Mainichi Shimbun (Sept. 17).

Between April and July, Yoichiro Matsubara, the 47-year-old manager of an out-call “delivery health” sex business in Nakatsuguchi, Kokurakita Ward, and one other suspect allegedly posed as females on deai-kei “encounter” matchmaking sites to recruit male customers.

Both suspects have been charged with violating the Anti-Prostitution Law regarding employment.

Matsubara has reportedly admitted to the allegations while the other suspect told police he had no knowledge of the matter.

According to police from the Kokurakita Police Station, Matsubara has connections to the Kudo-kai organized crime group. Investigators suspect that Matsubara’s operation was used to fund the gang.
