TOKYO (TR) – Tokyo Metropolitan Police on Tuesday announced the arrest of an employee at a sex-guide booth in Toshima Ward for providing a teenager with “skills training” to be a prostitute, reports the Sankei Shimbun (July 8).

In December, Tadakazu Kojima, 39, is alleged to have engaged in sexual acts with a 17-year-old girl at a hotel in the Ikebukuro entertainment area. He has been charged with violating child welfare laws.

After the incident, the suspect then recruited approximately 50 male customers for the girl through his shop at a rate of 30,000 yen per session.

According to TV Asahi (July 8), the suspect has reportedly admitted to the allegations, telling police that he knew the girl was under 18 years of age.

The girl told police that she met Kojima through an acquaintance employed at a nail salon.

The matter came to light after the cyber division of the metropolitan police found a message from the girl on an “encounter” matchmaking site in which she was soliciting prostitution.
