KANAGAWA (TR)- Kanagawa Prefectural Police on Wednesday busted two photography studios in Yokohama in which teenage girls can be photographed in seductive poses, reports Sports Nippon (June 4).

Police arrested Ko Matsuda, the 44-year-old manager of Milky Heart, Shinichi Hirose, 46-year-old manager of Cos Marine, and a 19-year-old female model for violating child welfare laws and the Labor Standards Act.

Both suspects have reportedly admitted to the allegations.

In May, both so-called joshi kosei (high-school girl) photo parlors are alleged to have employed female models as young as 16 years of age to sit and pose seductively while in uniforms and bathing suits for photographers.

Charges for up to one hour of shooting start at 9,000 yen. An optional fee for shooting video is also available at a rate of 2,000 yen for 10 minutes, according to the Sankei Shimbun (June 4).

Both shops had more than 10 girls under the age of 18 enrolled as employees.
