TOKYO (TR) – Tokyo Metropolitan Police on Wednesday announced the arrest of two suspects for arranging male customers for underage prostitutes in Setagaya Ward, reports Jiji Press (May 28).

On Tuesday, officers arrested Shohei Kinjo, 28, and Junji Miyazawa, 30, for violating the Anti-Prostitution Law and child welfare laws regarding solicitation for allegedly posting messages on smartphone applications like Kakaoa to recruit male customers for school-girl prostitutes over a two-year period.

In one case, a second-year high school girl (then 17 years old) engaged in sexual activities with a 33-year-old office worker at a love hotel in the Kitazawa area on March 4.

Both suspects have reportedly denied the allegations.

According to the Mainichi Broadcasting System, customers were charged 20,000 yen per session.

During the two period, the ring employed 10 girls and collected 50 million yen in revenue.
