YOKOHAMA (TR) – Kanagawa Prefectural Police on Thursday announced the bust of a massage parlor in Yokohama in which the masseuses grappled with the customers, reports the Asahi Shimbun (Apr. 17).

Officers took the manager of Yokohama Reflexology Academy Rainbow Color, Masayuki Kyoya, 36, for allegedly employing girls under the age of 18 to physically wrestle with customers inside private rooms — a violation of the Labor Standards Act regarding harmful employment conditions.

The club, located in Kanagawa Ward, is known as a joshi kosei (high school girl) “reflexology” massage parlor that administered hand and foot massages. However, customers could also request that the masseuses place them in a number of popular professional wrestling holds.

In once case, a 16-year-old girl is alleged to have put male customers in “cross arm breaker” holds between September and October of last year.

The most popular move was the “figure four leglock,” which cost 2,000 yen for five seconds. The second was the aforementioned “cross arm breaker,” while the “triangle choke” came in third.

The girls, who referred to Kyoya as “sensei” (teacher), also offered thumb wrestling, slaps to the face and ear cleaning.
