UTSUNOMIYA, TOCHIGI (TR) – After what police believe was a gang dispute, two organized crime members were found stabbed on Monday evening in Utsunomiya City, reports the Sankei Shimbun (Apr. 15).

At about 8:00 p.m., officers from the Tochigi Prefectural Police arrived at a restaurant parking lot in the Motoimaizumi district to find two members of the Inagawa-kai — aged 44 and 34 — with stab wounds to their abdomens.

The male perpetrator fled the scene following the incident. Police suspect the stabbing occurred after problems developed between gang members and are treating the case as attempted murder.

The parking lot is located approximately 800 meters from JR Utsunomiya Station.
