TOKYO (TR) – Tokyo Metropolitan Police on Tuesday announced the bust of a prostitution ring that utilized apartments in the metropolitan area, reports Fuji News Network (Mar. 4).

On Monday, officers took Tatsuya Urata, 46, and three other suspects into custody for violating the Law Regulating Adult Entertainment Businesses regarding location of operation.

According to TV Asahi (Mar. 3), the service had 150 women available to be dispatched to 15 locations, including Takadanobaba in Shinjuku Ward and Ueno in Taito Ward.

The service utilized a Web site that took reservations to make it appear to be an out-call sex operation.

Urata has reportedly admitted to the allegations. “I knew that it was illegal, but I did it to make a living,” the suspect is quoted by police.

The service garnered recognition since hotel fees were not required.

Over the past 18 months, the service collected 430 million yen in revenue.
