KOBE (TR) – Hyogo Prefectural Police on Wednesday arrested a restaurant manager in Kobe for allegedly threatening a 20-year-old prostitute after she refused his advances, reports the Kobe Shimbun (Jan. 8).

In July of last year, the suspect, a 53-year-old resident of Nishi Ward, allegedly threatened to distribute letters in the neighborhood of the woman that would reveal her occupation, which is an employee in the “delivery health” trade (or out-call sex industry), after she would not comply with his requests for companionship.

“She rejected me, and I harassed her,” the suspect is quoted by police in admitting to the allegations.

According to prefectural police, the pair met through a regular delivery health customer in December of 2012. The woman eventually became a favorite of the man. He subsequently asked her to accompany him for a meal on many occasions and she refused.
