On Thursday, officers charged Liu Shu-hong, 36, her sister, 41, and one other suspect with violating the Anti-Prostitution Law for allegedly offering sexual services to male customers inside one room of an apartment near JR Kichijoji Station in Musashino City.
Liu, who is a Chinese national, has reportedly denied the allegations.
According to police, the club did not advertise its services and instead had its employees solicit customers in the street. Over the last two years, the operation collected 28 million yen in revenue.
The day before, metropolitan police raided a hostess club in the Akasaka area of Minato Ward for illegally employing Chinese nationals. Officers arrested the club’s manager, 46, and two Chinese exchange students for immigration violations.
According to police, the club has collected 150 million yen over the past three years. All three suspects have reportedly admitted to the allegations.
