TOKYO (TR) – Kanagawa Prefectural Police on Tuesday busted an out-call sex operation staffed primarily with teenage girls on prostitution charges, reports the Kanagawa Shimbun (Oct. 1).

Officers took the manager of Enjo Kosai Delivery Health and four other male and female employees, whose ages range between 19 and 32, into custody for allegedly dispatching teenage girls to male customers in four areas of Kawasaki City for sexual encounters in violation of the Anti-Prostitution Law.

In one case, a 47-year-old male office worker allegedly paid 20,000 yen for an illicit encounter with a 17-year-old girl at a hotel in Nakahara Ward on December 9 of last year.

All five suspects, who were also charged with violations related to the Child Welfare Law, have reportedly admitted to the allegations.

The suspects recruited customers by posting on deai-kei “encounter” matchmaking sites. The messages sought males interested in participating in a relationship based on enjo kosai, or compensated dating.

According to police, between March of 2011 and December of last year, Enjo Kosai Delivery Health collected 110 million yen. Approximately 30 girls were on the club’s books, of which 90 percent were minors.

Investigators were made aware of the illegal activities at the club after multiple male suspects were arrested in September for violating the Child Welfare Law for allegedly engaging in obscene acts with the same 17-year-old girl.
