TOKYO (TR) – Tokyo Metropolitan Police on Tuesday announced the bust of an orgy club for prostitution, reports the Yomiuri Shimbun (July 2).

On the afternoon of June 22, officers simultaneously raided hotel suites and one-room apartments operated by club Buena. At the time of the bust, 14 female prostitutes were entertaining 27 male customers, with at least one being in his 70s.

Four employees of Buena, including manager Shin Nakayama, 39, were taken into custody for violating the Anti-Prostitution Law regarding the offering of services.

The club, which typically utilized high-end hotels in the Shibuya and Shinjuku entertainment areas, collected 60 million yen in revenue in the last year, police said.

Customers were recruited via the Internet. The club placed ads on a site operated by Taiki Taniguchi, 32, who was also arrested for prostitution. Taniguchi charged between 20,000 and 36,000 yen per month for a single ad. Over the past five years, his business generated 37 million yen in revenue.
