TOKYO (TR) – Saitama Prefectural Police on Thursday announced the bust of a soapland bathhouse in Kawaguchi on charges of prostitution, reports the Sankei Shimbun (May 30).

Officers took the manager of Koichi Kusazaka of Three Apples, which is located near JR Nishi Kawaguchi Station, and two employees into custody for allegedly employing three women to provide sexual services to customers between May 15 and 29 in violation of the Anti-Prostitution Law.

Kusasaka has reportedly denied the allegations while the other two suspects have admitted involvement.

According to the Web site for Three Apples, rates begin at 10,000 yen for the first 35 minutes. That price is reduced by 1,000 yen on Thursdays.

In an average month, the soapland generates 10 million yen in revenue, police said.
