TOKYO (TR) – Tokyo Metropolitan Police on Monday arrested Naoteru Ohashi, a 42-year-old company employee for allegedly picking up teenage prostitutes he lured to hotels via the Internet, reports the Sankei Shimbun (Apr. 30).

Of the 100 occasions the suspect paid for sex, 22 times were with teenage girls aged between 14 and 17, police said. The incidents took place over a 12-year period ending in April.

The suspect, who has been charged with violating child prostitution and pornography statutes, admitted to videotaping sessions with 60 of the prostitutes. Officers also seized 62 video recordings.

Ohashi recruited the prostitutes by posting messages on Internet bulletin boards that said he would pay 300,000 yen for a filming session at a love hotel. But after engaging in the sex act, the suspect would flee the scene before paying the promised fee.

In once instance in August of 2011, Ohashi, a resident of Shinagawa Ward, allegedly met a third-year high-school girl (aged 17 at the time) at a hotel in Taito Ward.

According to TV Tokyo (Apr. 30), Ohashi has reportedly admitted to the allegations. “Videotaping (the sex scenes) makes me excited,” the suspect is quoted by the news channel.
