Yokohama game center operator busted for allowing gambling by gangsters

TOKYO (TR) – Early Monday morning, Kanagawa Prefectural Police busted a Yokohama game center and arrested one employee on gambling charges, reports the Sankei Shimbun (Apr. 23).

At approximately 12:20 a.m., officers from the livelihood protection division entered the S7 game center, which is located in Naka Ward, and took Ikumi Goto, a 51-year-old employee, into custody after discovering two members of the Inagawa-kai organized crime group participating in gambling activities.

Goto has reportedly admitted to the allegations. Officers are also planning to file gambling charges against the gangsters, both of whom are in their 40s.

On the same day, investigators seized a total 22 poker and slot machines.
