Fukui soapland busted for prostitution, 2 arrested

TOKYO (TR) – Fukui Prefectural Police announced on Thursday the arrests of two employees at a soapland erotic bathhouse on prostitution charges, reports the Sankei Shimbun (Mar. 8).

Officers took Tomohiro Awano, the 31-year-old manager of Hot Heaven, located in Fukui City, and employee Naoto Teruya, 33, into custody for allegedly offering sexual services in private rooms in violation of the Anti-Prostitution Law.

Between the end of January and early February, two female employees, aged in their 20s and 30s, serviced two male company workers.

According to the Fukui Shimbun (Mar. 8), Hot Heaven employs approximately 40 females. The club, whose rates begin at 18,000 yen for the first 50 minutes, collected 10 million yen in revenue while servicing 700 customers in February.
