Korean sex shop loses suit with Chanel over use of name

TOKYO (TR) – A sex club in Seongnam City, Korea has lost a suit regarding the use of the name of a top French fashion house, reports Chosun Ilbo (Aug. 22).

The Seoul Central District Court ruled on Tuesday that Chanel Business Club is liable to pay one billion won (700,000 yen) in restitution damages to the Paris-based brand Chanel.

“By imitating the trade name of our company, our image has been hurt,” said the company in court documents filed in April.
