Imagine some brave new world in which your sex life is reduced to an activity that resembles what happens when a cow is connected to a milking machine.
Shukan Asahi Geino (Mar. 26) reports that Shinjuku’s Kabukicho entertainment zone still features one of these old-fashioned budget sex shops harking back to the Showa Era, which ran from December 1926 to January 7, 1989.
The appeal of this particular shop, named Pastel, is a “Magic Hole,” basically a waist-height aperture in the center of a two-way mirror. Male customers enter the cubicle, unzip and flop out. Visible behind the mirror is a young woman clad in a nurse’s uniform, who cannot see the customer from the waist up.
That’s about as impersonal as it gets, and not very appealing. But at least it’s cheap. For the B course, 3,000 yen gets you a 10-minute hand-job. In the A course, an additional outlay of 1,200 yen gets you an oral prelude preceding the digital crescendo.
Shukan Asahi Geino’s reporter walks the reader through his experience, starting with the friendly voice of “Chiaki,” who warmly greets him upon entry with five words that are music to his ears: “Welcome. please drop your trousers.”
He complies, and gingerly approaches the “Magic Hole” from which her beckoning hands protrude. She commences to give him a quick sponge bath with warm water, requesting that he pull his shirt out of the way to keep it from getting wet.
Then, flipping over a 10-minute egg timer, Chiaki gets down to business. The panel features handles for the customer to grip while being serviced, while assuming a posture resembling that of the famous Manneken Pis statue in Brussels.
After completing the oral hors d’oeuvres, Chiaki lathers his pole with lubricant, and as the sand continues running through the hourglass hurries him along by poking a bare breast through the Magic Hole and inviting him to fondle it.
“Okay, shall we go for it?” she encourages him, speeding up the strokes, and seven minutes into the 10-minute session he lets fly — spurting to a distance the fortyish reporter swears he hasn’t achieved since his 20s.
Nothing like a Showa-style sex on a shoestring, the reporter sighs nostalgically, to bring back memories of the good old days! (K.S.)
